Palm Beach Accounting and Financial Services, LLC was founded in 2009 as a boutique accounting company with big firm resources. We incorporate the use of cutting-edge accounting technology to serve nonprofits, small businesses, and family offices.

Job Summary:

Our team is growing, and as such, we are seeking a full-charge accountant local to Palm Beach County to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years prior experience working for an accounting firm, QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification, and a high attention to detail. This position will report to the Senior Client Manager, and could be a part-time or full-time position, depending on candidate’s and firm’s needs and preferences.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable

  • Accounts Billable

  • File tax returns

  • Record complex transactions

  • Reconcile and balance accounts

  • Prepare financial statements

  • Process timesheets and payroll

  • Generate 1099s and W2s

  • Communicate with clients and vendors

  • Manage all of the firm’s accounting needs

  • Adhere to data security plan

Team Work

  • From time to time, you may be asked to review and check less qualified and experienced team member's work, including the preparation of tax forms and tax services engagement proposals.

  • For tax work required for current cloud accounting services clients, you may be asked to coordinate with the Senior Client Accounting Services Manager to keep them informed of progress with the client's tax work and involve them in communication with the client.

Technical Requirements

  • Impeccable client service skills

  • 3-5 years prior experience in working for an accounting firm

  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Computer skills and knowledge of office software (KarbonHQ, BILL, Hubdoc, SmartVault, RingCentral, Right Networks, QuickBooks Desktop, Canon Image Formula, connector apps, Zapier, etc.)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.

  • Ability to work well independently as well as with stakeholders.
